ContrastSpa Duo (cold/hot)

The ContrastSpa Duo consists of two Spas with a shared set of steps and allows for contrast bathing – alternating hot and cold-water immersion.

The ContrastSpa Duo consists of two Spas with a shared set of steps and allows for contrast bathing – alternating hot and cold water immersion for accelerating athlete recovery, minimising fatigue and lowering the risk of injury. Each Spa can accommodate up to 4 athletes enabling the whole squad of players to get through quickly. The temperature of each Spa can be individually controlled. For cold water immersion in the CryoSpa, it is typical to set the temperature between 10°C and 14°C. With the hot ThermoSpa, we have found that most people prefer to set the temperature between 33°C and 35°C. You decide how many times your athletes alternate between hot and cold. The norm is to alternate each athlete 3-4 times between the two temperatures. Massage jets can be controlled in their intensity.

Key Features

  • Superior filtration.

  • Hydrostatic pressure and 20 jets per spa for a penetrating cold.

  • Effective continuous chilling.

  • Optimum therapeutic water depth.

  • Internal step to facilitate entry and exit.

  • High salt concentration for maximum therapeutic effect.

Four treatment modalities

  • Sit on top for ankle therapy

  • Stand on step for submersion to mid-thigh

  • Stand in deep end for submersion to waist depth

  • Sit on step for full body submersion

Cold water immersion for the most effective recovery

Gregory Dupont of Lille FC / University of Lille stated, at the FIFA Football Medicine Strategies for Muscle and Tendon Injuries in April 2013 at Wembley Stadium, that the main precursor of injury is fatigue and the main strategies for combating fatigue and thereby lowering the risk of injury are good diet, good sleep, hydration and cold-water immersion.

The CryoSpa Sport offers optimum ice bath therapy and has proven to be ‚an integral part of recovery strategy‘ for many professional sports clubs, accelerating athlete recovery, minimising fatigue and lowering the risk of injury.

Benefits

  • Easy to maintain saving on labour and cost.

  • Short treatment times due to intense cold.

  • High spec filtration per spa keeps the water clear.

  • Stainless steel safety rail and steps.

  • Quiet operation.

  • High quality low temperature digitally controlled chiller.

  • High salt concentration aids infection control.

  • UV Disinfection Optional.
